I’ve officially reached the final stage of pregnancy this past week - the “I’m cranky and bitchy, nothing will please me except chocolate and cookies, when will this be done” phase. Not to complain, and I certainly have a few more weeks to go to deal with this. I do take solace in the fact, that in this mood I like to call “pure cheesy/lack of sleep sillies”, I know my title of the day will at least get a cheesy song in someone’s head for a few minutes. Ha!

A few random thoughts - I finally understand though why muumuus are so appealing, (not quite enough to go out and get one mind you - at least not this week). I just recently read on one of the pregnancy sites that by this point, many women will outgrow their first set of maternity clothes, and that it’s normal? Now that evokes two questions:

1. Why don’t they make these clothes fit for the whole nine months? I thought that was the point, because certainly I’m not about to go run out for a new pair of pants with a mere five weeks of wearing time left….Then again, will I have a choice? Because while at home my husband’s shirts and any pants with big elastic waists are fine, but in public a gal needs to feel good about what she’s wearing.

2. Why didn’t anyone mention this to me last pregnancy? I was horrified when I outgrew the one pair of jeans I bought and the only pair I had a budget for. It might not have made a difference, but then again, perhaps I would have felt a little better knowing it was normal!  Or at least thinking it was.
I swear, I have a few bones to pick with Mother Nature about this whole pregnancy process and all the wonderful miracles involved. I’m no longer convinced Mother Nature is in fact a woman. I would never do this to one of my sisters….
