Patience Therapy - A Carnival for Frazzled Parents

Good morning everyone!  I hope you’re not all too disappointed but I’ve decided to put Patience Therapy on hold for just a couple of weeks - with a scheduled return on February 14th.  I look forward to reading all your great posts again at that time! I just feel with the uncertainty of my availability at the moment, it wouldn’t be fair for you all to do that work and not get it posted in a timely manner.  I may decide to push the carnival’s return back by one additional week depending on when our newest bundle of joy decides the time has finally come to make their appearance.

Yes, we are still without baby.  Week 41 and counting! :)  It’s funny, this child must have some psychic power, as there was a freak weather storm out here yesterday that caused power outages.  Those power outs in turn caused my appointment to be canceled - the one in which I was to have an induction scheduled (my proverbial light at the end of the tunnel!) .  I suppose this baby is just really happy where he/she is and must have some kind of in with the weather powers-that-be!  Mother and baby are doing well. so I know truly there’s no need to rush.  Except spring fashions are out and mama needs a new pair of jeans! :)

Cheers all!

A Healthier Alternative to Nachos

This week, as part of WFMW over at Rocks in My Dryer, I’d like to share a healthier choice when you feel like a hearty snack. Let’s face it, there’s nothing better sometimes than a plateful of oh so delicious nachos. My husband even loves them for dinner on occasion (perhaps hearkening back […]

Waiting for Baby - A Lesson in Patience

Alright, I know I blog about having patience with children, but I’m about at the end of mine!  Here it is, days after my due date, and I am still pregnant. I know that having the baby on my due date was statistically improbable because I’ve been reading that only 5 percent of moms […]

Those Moments that Melt Your Heart

Alright, I’m going to admit it - I had a late pregnancy meltdown this week. On the way to the movies with my husband and son, the hormones and lack of sleep took control and I became a blubbering mass of tears. It was pitiful. I usually try my best to remember […]

Good Day everyone! Welcome to another edition of Patience Therapy, a carnival for those parents who need a little escape to help them make it to the weekend.  Somehow the end of January is in sight, and I don’t know about you folks but I tend to find January the most frazzling of all […]

Book Review - the Mister Men Books by Roger Hargreaves

Well, the moment you’ve all been waiting for has arrived.  I’ve pinned up a new book review for you and I am so excited to tell you about the Mister books series by Roger Hargreaves.  There have been many times that I’ve been out shopping lately and stumbled across Mister or Little Miss T-shirts for […]

Book and Music Reviews - It’s Been Awhile!

Way back those nearly three months ago that I started up this blog, I had a grand plan to provide music and book reviews every month for your perusal.  It’s tough with all the choices out there these days to find good quality music and books for both yourself and your children.  We go to […]

Patience Therapy - This Week’s Topic

As much as I might wish otherwise, I’m going out on a limb this week and posting the topic for this week’s blog carnival.  Call me kooky, but even though Thursday is my actual due date, I’m going to plan on being here with you fine folks (and hence avoid disappointment?  As a mechanism to […]

A Little Sleep, a Big Epiphany

This morning I had one of those rare treats that I’ve learned one must savour and languish in that moment for as long as possible. Yes I got to sleep in, and when I woke up had three realizations:
1. For the first time in a long while I was feeling truly rested, and […]
