Easy Peasy Peach Cobbler
This week for Works for Me Wednesday, hosted by Rocks in My Dryer I thought I’d share a really simple quick dessert recipe handed down to me from my mother-in-law. It is probably the absolute worst time of year for this recipe, except that it’s so easy to make I needed to share it with you folks so you can store it for an emergency dessert.
Peach Cobbler
Preheat oven to 350F. Melt 1/2 cup butter (I said delicious and easy, not healthy ladies and gents!) in a 9X13 pan in oven. Meanwhile in blender mix 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk, 1 TB baking powder and blend well. Pour over melted butter. Then add at least 2 cups drained preserved peaches (apricots are good too!) over top - they’ll settle down to the bottom. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or till done. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream. That’s it!

And my MIL always claimed that she came up with that recipe. hehehehe
It’s wonderful for it’s-time-to-clean-out-the-fruit-bowl. Dh grew up on this recipe. They made it on camp-outs in Boy Scouts over the camp fire.
No matter what fruit I use, it’s always a big hit.
