Book Review - the Mister Men Books by Roger Hargreaves

Well, the moment you’ve all been waiting for has arrived.  I’ve pinned up a new book review for you and I am so excited to tell you about the Mister books series by Roger Hargreaves.  There have been many times that I’ve been out shopping lately and stumbled across Mister or Little Miss T-shirts for sale in the most interesting and random of places.  And yet, I feel as though these books never had the market in the US that they did up in Canada - and I don’t think they ever got the attention they deserved up there either.  I’m not exactly sure why these little gems have been overlooked for so long, nor why they’re making a comeback as cutesy little t-shirts.  I feel you deserve to know the truth.  These books are definitely worth every pound or penny and it doesn’t matter on what side of the pond or the 49th parallel you live.

As an aside, while I sit and write this post, my husband is reading a Mister book to my son.  I think partially spurred by my pulling out a couple of books in order to write the review, Jaden insisted hearing them before bed.  We read these at least a few times a week.

A Little Sleep, a Big Epiphany

This morning I had one of those rare treats that I’ve learned one must savour and languish in that moment for as long as possible. Yes I got to sleep in, and when I woke up had three realizations:
1. For the first time in a long while I was feeling truly rested, and [...]
