Well, April is almost over, and so too is International Be Kind to Yourself Month.  This month has really taught me a lot - it’s important to get some time to yourself, it’s tough to find that time in a busy schedule (but always worth it) and there’s a whole world to discover out there if you just start looking for it.

I haven’t accomplished everything on my list - but that’s okay.  I did accomplish a lot of it - like starting a short story, doing some knitting and reading two and a half books.  I went out and met a few new people and spent some time with my friends.  All of this time to myself helped me convince my husband he needed to do the same, and I think we both feel all the better for it.  Though April is coming to a close, I really hope everyone who took part in the challenge will continue to try to find some time like this for themselves on a regular basis.

So, now for May - what do we think of Random Acts of Kindness Month?  How about every day we strive to do something nice for someone we encounter -whether it be letting a stranger ahead of you in the grocery store line because they have a smaller order than you, to volunteering your time for a good cause.  My son and I are both going to do this challenge because I think it’s an important lesson to teach our children as well as ourselves. What do you think?
