The World is a Magical Place After All

It’s so easy for me to get busy and feel as though I need to rush through my days.  And in doing so, I lose focus on those special moments that childhood is all about.  I realized this last week as I was rushing my son out of the store and he wanted to keep stopping to look back.  When I finally asked him why he stopped, he said with awe “I want to watch the doors close all by themselves”.  Something as ordinary as an automatic door is magical in the eyes of a child.  Who am I to rush him through his day and make him miss the magic all around?  And also, if I can just slow down, I can see this magic all around me too, through his eyes.

Today, I am exhausted.  Having visitors in our house for a whole week was fun, but very tiring.  Thankfully my sons are tired too and it’s raining outside.  A perfect day for movies, books and puzzles.  Maybe even a rejuvenating cup of tea.

Wishing you all a peaceful, magical day!

I’m an avid reader, when I get the chance and […]

Patience Therapy - a Day Late

Well, another edition of Patience Therapy is getting out a little late. From now on, I think it would be best to plan on the carnival to be published every two weeks. I seem to get a few more submissions that way.
Spring has finally sprung here, as I am enjoying the crocuses […]
