A Shout Out - Somebody’s Always Hungry

A couple of weeks ago I received an email from a very sweet sounding lady who had the fortitude and courage to write her very first book.  This was very inspiring to me who would like to do the same one day!  So when she asked me every so kindly to help her out by telling all you kind folks about it, I thought it would be a great idea and after checking out her site thought I would do just that.

Ms. Juliet Johnson wrote a book called “Somebody’s Always Hungry” and you can check it out for yourself at her site. You’ll find a few sample essays there that I think any mother can appreciate. I’ve read all the sample essays and just think they’re fabulous!  Her essays are all very well written and you can tell this is her labour of love (or should I say her other labour of love). Thanks for sharing your work Juliet and good luck to you!

Way back those nearly three months ago that I started up this blog, I had a grand plan to provide music and book reviews every month for your perusal.  It’s tough with all the choices out there these days to find good quality music and books for both yourself and your children.  We go to […]

New Review - Wild Ducks Flying Backward

I’ve posted a new book review, this one for the grownups.  Tom Robbins is an author I’ve followed since discovering his book in a roundabout way a few years back (well, maybe a bit more than a few - before child, husband, maybe even before I had a real job…it may be a short time […]
