Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving! Being from Canada, where yes we have Thanksgiving but it’s earlier - this particular holiday has never seemed like much of a big thing for me until now. I know it’s a nice time to get together with family, and remember all those things for which we’re thankful, and then the story of pilgrims and breaking bread with Native Americans. It’s a very noble holiday indeed, but even more importantly (for me personally) it’s like the kick-off to Christmas! Black Friday shopping? Heck yes!

Of course, I still am Canadian, and it’s also Grey Cup (football) on Sunday. I’m no big sports fan, but the home team is playing, so it’s a bit more interesting. Grey Cup parties are like Super Bowl Sunday - watch sports or not, you go to the parties, have a great time: play up any team rivalries with friends and consume a lot of food (and beverages of course). This year, we’ll not have more than tea and cookies (at least me obviously).
