Ahh, the Joys of Motherhood

Motherhood is not glamorous. This is perhaps the most true at the very beginning, where dignity is completely thrown out the window. I can’t fathom how many people viewed and poked at my nether regions while in the hospital delivering my son and afterward while ensuring I was healing properly. That says nothing for the fact that since being home there are places that leak that shouldn’t, and there are stitches and pain in regions that should not feel any pain nor be stitched up - ever. And then there are the tears - I think today I cried because I was running low on dish soap. No, motherhood is not glamorous in the least. Worth it? Yep. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat.
